Alan Kleesattel
Lighting Designer and Technician
With a wide and varied background Alan has found a passion for all forms of lighting design. Growing up in the theatre and learning from an rock and roll designer Alan has developed a unique and dynamic take on lighting design resulting in sensational designs that ensure the crowds will leave with a lasting impression of your event.
Growing up in the theatre has given Alan a unique take on the artistic side of the entertainment industry, even before starting his formal education in the field of lighting design. Starting in 2006 Alan attended The School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) in Lighting Design where he studied with Jeff New a former rock n’ roll lighting designer and technician. While at SCPA Alan’s passion for Lighting Design flourished, taking on every opportunity he could to learn and experiment with the craft.
By graduation in 2010 Alan’s passion for lighting in all areas was at all force and he went on to further his education at The College Conservatory of Music (CCM/UC) where he studied Lighting Designer and Technology under Mark Williams who fired him up even more for the field of Lighting Design and the many areas it can reach both on and off the stage.
Due to the wide and varied influences Alan has had over the years he has developed a style of design that is dynamic and impactful for all productions all while supporting and reinforcing the event at hand whether it be on stage, concert hall, ballroom or empty store front.
Alan is grateful to have had the opportunities to work in Theatre, Concerts, Architectural, Television and Special Events. All areas are unique but all have elements that cross between them and by being active in all areas only furthers his design repertoire and his passion to continue on to see what else he can bring into the light.
